College Statistics

2013: 26 receptions, 466 yards, 4 touchdowns

2012: 8 receptions, 94 yards, 1 touchdown

2011: 1 reception 25 yards

2013 Season: Jeff Heuerman led all Ohio State receivers by averaging 17.9 yards per reception with 26 receptions for 466 yards and four touchdowns ... he was named the Mackey Award national player of the week following the Purdue win when he tied a career-high with five receptions for a career-best 116 receiving yards and with a long reception of 40 yards ... he also had four first downs on the day ... his 116 receiving yards were the most by an Ohio State tight end in 30 years, or since John Frank had 123 vs. Michigan in 1983 ... Heuerman also had touchdown receptions this season vs. Florida A&M, a 22-yarder over the middle vs. Michigan and a 57-yarder vs. Clemson in the Discover Orange Bowl ... he was named honorable mention all-Big Ten Conference by both the coaches and the media.

2012 Season: Heuerman started nine times and played in all 12 games for the undefeated, No. 3 ranked Buckeyes ... had eight receptions on the year, including his first collegiate touchdown, an 18-yard score vs. Nebraska to give Ohio State a 21-17 lead in a game it would win, 63-38 ... also caught a 35-yard pass against the Cornhuskers for the first multi-reception game of his career ... his biggest catch of the year wasn't even a catch, statistically; rather, it was an undefeated-season-saving two-point conversion reception that allowed the Buckeyes to tie Purdue, 22-all, and send the game into overtime.

2011 Season: Heuerman played and lettered as a true freshman in 2011 after enrolling at Ohio State in January of that year and competing in spring drills ... he played in 10 games and made his first collegiate catch in the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl against Florida, a 25-yard gain.

More: Heuerman's love of all things sports includes hunting and fishing, and he often tweets and instagrams photos of him on or in the water (including one where he was holding a 200-pound Tarpon) or in the fields early in the morning preparing to hunt ... before his football prowess came to be realized, Heuerman was an outstanding hockey player on the junior circuit ... he played the sport for eight years, even spending one year living in Detroit with his grandfather and playing for the select Detroit Compuware team ... he first played football as a ninth grader and by the time he was a senior he was a team captain for Coach Mark Ivey's Barron Collier H.S. Cougars ... earned all-conference, all-area and all-district honors as a senior ... his teams won 3 district 3A titles in four years ... is the son of Melissa and Paul Heuerman ... has two younger brothers: Mike and Matt.
