2013 Season: Vannett played in 13 games and he lined up on
offense for 289 plays plus had an additional 80 snaps on special teams
... he had eight catches for 80 yards ... caught his first collegiate
touchdown pass against Purdue (8 yards) ... he had two receptions in
games vs. Florida A&M (27 yards), Purdue (21 yards) and vs. Clemson
in the Discover Orange Bowl (22 yards).
2012 Season: After red-shirting the 2011 season as a true
freshman, Vannett earned considerable playing time at tight end during
the Buckeyes' 2012 undefeated season ... he was awarded with his first
varsity letter after playing in all 12 games ... he was in the starting
lineup twice: vs. Alabama-Birmingham and Nebraska ... he ranked fifth on
the team with nine receptions and 123 receiving yards ... he averaged
13.7 yards per reception and had a long catch of 32 yards vs. Nebraska
... had two catches vs. Miami, California and Illinois ... he totaled 45
receiving yards vs. Illinois for a personal-best yardage total.
