Chart: The Ohio State Underclassmen with NFL Decisions to Make
By Tony Gerdeman

COLUMBUS — With linebacker Darron Lee declaring for the 2016 NFL Draft Saturday night, Ohio State is now losing four underclassmen to the draft. That won't be the end of it, however, because there are five more players who could soon follow suit.

Not everybody is leaving, though. Junior guard Pat Elflein and junior punter Cameron Johnston have both announced that they will be returning for their senior seasons. It would be a surprise, however, if any of the remaining players with decisions to make end up joining them.

The deadline to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft is January 18. The draft will be held April 28-30 in Chicago.

Here is a chart of who is staying, who is going, and who has yet to make their decision public.

Player Class Status Proj Rd What He's Saying
Pat Elflein rJr Staying 3-4 "With all focus on ND, I have decided to return for my last year and help this team achieve our goals. Thanks for the support."
Cameron Johnston Jr Staying NR "Such a good feeling! Fiesta bowl champs! now time to get the body right for a big senior year next year!"
Cardale Jones rJr Leaving 2-6 "No, I don't want to be a 24-year-old college student."
Ezekiel Elliott Jr Leaving 1 "There's no chance I'm coming back next year."
Joey Bosa Jr Leaving 1 "I really was trying my absolute best to keep it unannounced that I was leaving. I had no intention whatsoever of it coming out before the game. I had no idea that he (Urban Meyer) said that (Bosa was declaring). He didn’t even tell me. Apparently I declared for the draft in my sleep."
Darron Lee rSo Leaving 1-2 "It has been a pleasure to play for the greatest University on the planet, with the best teammates a guy could ask for. I will never forget my time here and most importantly all the fun we have had! OH-!!"
Jalin Marshall rSo Thinking 4-7 "I've thought about it, but I haven't made a decision. I'm happy where I'm at and I'll sit down with my coaches and go from there. I'll know here in the next couple of days. Get back to Ohio, sit down, weigh out everything and figure it out from there."
Michael Thomas rJr Thinking 1-2 "I don't really know what the future holds. I haven't made a decision yet."
Eli Apple rSo Thinking 2-3 "I’m just so just excited and so happy about this win. That hasn’t really crossed my mind too much, but that’s something I’m definitely going to consider and think about a little bit. Talk to my parents, pray about it, but right now, this win was incredible for the seniors. 50 wins, you can’t even dream of something like that. So I’m going to consider it, but right now I’m just enjoying this win with the guys."
Vonn Bell Jr Thinking 2-3 "I've been talking with my parents. It's not complete yet, but we're still talking about it."
Tyvis Powell rJr Thinking 5-7 "I can tell you, I can check off a lot of things on my list. I’ve actually done that a couple of times. I’ve got a lot of things that I’ve accomplished. The number one thing is definitely to get the degree for Mother and believe it or not, the second thing was to become a captain and when I got elected captain, that was big relief. So there’s a lot of things that I wanted to do when I was here that I actually have accomplished already."
