Ohio State Remains at No. 4 in the Coaches Poll
By Patrick Murphy

COLUMBUS – The Week 2 Amway Coaches Poll was released on Sunday afternoon and Ohio State remained at No. 4.

The Buckeyes defeated Tulsa 48-3 at Ohio Stadium on Saturday in a game that started slow but was sparked by two defensive touchdowns just before halftime.

Defending national champion Alabama remains No. 1 after a 38-10 win over Western Kentucky. Florida State jumped up to No. 2 following a 52-8 win over a depleted Charleston Southern team.

Clemson, who came into the week ranked second, dropped one spot to No. 3 due to a second consecutive lackluster performance to begin the season in a 30-24 win over Troy.

The rest of the top 10 features No. 5 Michigan, No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 Houston, No. 8 Michigan State, No. 9 Washington and No. 10 Louisville.

With Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State, the Big Ten has the most teams ranked in the top 10 of any conference. Iowa and Wisconsin are also within the top 15.

The Buckeyes' next opponent, Oklahoma, is ranked 14th after losing to the Cougars in week one and defeating Louisiana-Monroe 59-17.
