Scouting Report
Good speed for an inside linebacker. His 4.67 came following his sophomore season, so he is likely faster now. Solid tackler. Not the tallest guy, but he doesn't let it affect him negatively. Is able to shed blockers pretty well. Reads plays quickly. Is as comfortable taking on a fullback as he is chasing a jet sweep.

Immediate Projection
Hilliard will end up at either Mike or Will for the Buckeyes. There will be a number of options to back up Joshua Perry at the Will, so it will be interesting to see whether Hilliard ends up at Mike or Will. If Hilliard ends up at Will, he will need to beat out the likes of second-year players Dante Booker and Kyle Berger, and possibly early enrollee Nick Conner, in order to keep from redshirting. Middle linebacker may be an easier road, but will still likely need to beat out Camren Williams for the No. 2 job behind Raekwon McMillan.
